What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your phone, tablet, or laptop to remember information between visits. On Trucker Dating, cookies keep you signed in between truck stops, save your dark-mode preference, and tell us - anonymously - which pages drivers find most useful so we can improve them.
We also use related technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. For simplicity, this policy refers to all of these as "cookies." None of them give us access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or files on your device.
Types of Cookies We Use
We group cookies into four clear categories. Essential cookies cannot be turned off because the platform will not function without them. Everything else is optional and controllable.

You can withdraw consent for analytics, preference, and marketing cookies at any time from the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything you did while it was active.
Third-Party Cookies
A few trusted vendors set their own cookies when you visit Trucker Dating. We only work with providers that publish their own privacy and cookie policies and that meet U.S. and EU data-protection standards.
- Google Analytics 4 - anonymous traffic measurement with IP truncation enabled.
- Cloudflare - bot filtering, DDoS protection, and content delivery so pages load fast on weak 4G.
- Stripe - fraud prevention on the rare paid upgrades; only set if you reach a billing page.
- hCaptcha - abuse prevention on sign-up forms; replaces invasive image puzzles.

How to Manage Cookie Settings
Turn cookies on or off in two minutes
Every modern browser lets you block, allow, or delete cookies - usually in three taps. Choose your browser and follow the path:
- Chrome (mobile & desktop): Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Safari (iPhone): Settings → Apps → Safari → Advanced → Block All Cookies.
- Safari (Mac): Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Firefox: Menu → Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.
Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and break route-based matching. Blocking analytics or marketing cookies will not change anything you see - it only stops measurement.
You can also use your device-level controls - Apple App Tracking Transparency, Android Privacy Dashboard, or browser "Do Not Track" - and we will honor them where required by law. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do neither, but the link is provided in our Privacy Policy for completeness).
