Acceptance of These Terms
Plain English: By creating an account or using Trucker Dating, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These Terms & Conditions form a binding agreement between you and Trucker Dating ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of picards.us. They apply to every visitor, registered member, and paid subscriber. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts in your state of residence. We may update these Terms at any time; the "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and continued use after changes means you accept them.
Platform Rules and Acceptable Behavior
Plain English: Be honest. Be respectful. Use real photos. Treat every member the way you would want your sister or daughter treated.
Trucker Dating is built for CDL drivers and the women who want a serious relationship with one. To keep the community healthy, every member agrees to the following standards of conduct:
- Truthful profiles. Use your real first name, real age within two years, and recent photos of yourself. No catfishing, no recycled stock images, no impersonating another person.
- Respectful communication. No harassment, slurs, threats, or sexually explicit messages to people who have not invited that conversation.
- One account per person. Multiple accounts, shared accounts, or accounts created on behalf of someone else are not permitted.
- No commercial use. The platform is for personal dating, not for promoting services, soliciting clients, recruiting drivers, or selling products.
- Respect privacy. Do not share another member's photos, messages, location, or personal information off-platform without their explicit consent.
Members who consistently uphold these standards build the kind of community where real relationships actually form. Members who do not will be removed.
Prohibited Content and Conduct
Zero-tolerance violations
The following actions result in immediate, permanent account termination without refund and may be reported to law enforcement where applicable:
- Sexual content involving anyone under 18, or content that exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors
- Soliciting or offering paid sexual services, escort work, or commercial relationships
- Requesting money, wire transfers, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or financial assistance from other members
- Hate speech, threats of violence, or targeted harassment based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability
- Doxxing, stalking, or sharing private information of other members
- Catfishing, identity theft, or impersonation of another real person
- Distributing malware, phishing links, spam, or unauthorized advertising
- Attempting to circumvent moderation, evade bans, or scrape user data
This list is not exhaustive. We reserve the right to remove any content or member whose behavior we determine, in our reasonable judgment, to be harmful to the community or inconsistent with the mission of building genuine relationships.
Anti-Scam Policy
Plain English: Romance scammers target truck drivers because the income is steady and the time to verify is short. We work hard to keep them off the platform - and you should know the warning signs too.
According to RomanceScams.org (2024), the most common red flags on niche dating platforms include incomplete profiles with a single photo, requests for money or financial help in early messages, refusal to do video calls, inconsistent details about location and career, and excessive compliments or declarations of love within days of matching. We take these threats seriously.
Our anti-scam program includes:
- Photo and email verification on every active profile, with optional ID verification for trusted-member status.
- Human moderation of reported accounts within 24 hours, seven days a week.
- Automated detection of suspicious patterns: money keywords, impossible geolocation jumps, message templates copied across accounts, and refused video-call invitations.
- Permanent bans for confirmed scammers, with their device fingerprints and email patterns blacklisted to prevent re-registration.
We never ask members for wire transfers, gift cards, or cryptocurrency. If another member does - or if anyone messages you claiming to be Trucker Dating support and asks for payment - stop the conversation, take a screenshot, and report it. Account Suspension and Termination
Plain English: You can close your account any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms.
You may delete your account from the settings page at any time. Once deleted, your profile is removed from search within 24 hours, and your personal data is purged from active systems within 30 days, subject to limited legal retention requirements described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate an account if we have a reasonable belief that the member has violated these Terms, engaged in fraud, threatened the safety of other members, or used the platform for a purpose other than personal dating. Where appropriate and where it does not compromise an investigation, we will notify the member by email before final termination and offer a brief opportunity to respond.
Limitation of Liability
Plain English: We connect people. We do not background-check them. Use common sense, follow our safety guidance, and trust your gut on first dates.
Trucker Dating provides an introduction service. We do not perform criminal background checks, employment verification, or marital-status verification on members. While our verification and moderation reduce risk significantly, no online platform can guarantee the character or intentions of every user.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Trucker Dating, its officers, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to interactions with other members, decisions to meet offline, or reliance on profile information. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Governing Law and Disputes
Plain English: If there is a serious disagreement, we try to talk it out first. If we cannot, we use binding arbitration in the United States.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact our Trust & Safety team at our contact page and give us 30 days to attempt resolution in good faith. Any unresolved dispute will be settled through binding individual arbitration administered under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules, except where prohibited by your state's consumer protection laws. You retain the right to bring qualifying claims in small-claims court.
